The Hearing Voices Network Dundee is a service-user led registered charity (Charity Registration Number – SC047597) which seeks to promote an acceptance and understanding that hearing voices and experiencing other visual and sensory hallucinations is a valid experience.
We are based at 216-222 Hilltown Dundee under the banner ‘HAVEN’, a name chosen by members utilising the initials of the Hearing Voices Network and incorporating the concept of it being a place of shelter, safety and sustenance.
Haven provides support to voice hearers through various self-help groups, activities and volunteering; promoting independence and increasing people’s confidence. The groups and activities enable members to develop their personal and social skills as well as promoting hope and recovery from severe and enduring mental illness.
The HAVEN also provides social activities for members and staff. One of the first things that a person can lose when becoming mentally ill is their social skills and their ability to communicate. Therefore, social integration is fundamental to our members’ recovery.
Please use the contact form below if you have any questions. Alternatively you can call us or pop along between 10am and 4pm during the week. All our details can be found in the side bar and on our directions page.
